In addition to the residential areas, railway lines, factories, schools, public buildings such as the town hall, the maps are indicated in separate colours. What is special is that the street and neighborhood names are literally translated into Cyrillic. The Air Force Base Twenthe is printed in great detail. Until recently, aerial photographs showing the airfield had to be provided with an obstructive grid by order of the Ministry of Defense, the KGB map even shows the concrete shelters where the NF-5 fighter planes were parked bomb-free at the time. The various hangars and other relevant buildings were also displayed exactly.
